The worlds best 10 airports

The worlds best 10 airports, and shock horror that Perth Int Airport did not make the list.

The World Airport Awards have announced the world’s best 10 airports based on the results from 8.6 million questionnaires completed by airline passengers.

Covering more than 190 airports worldwide, the survey evaluated traveller experiences across 39 different airport service and product factors – from check-in, arrivals and transfer through to departure at the gate.

So which airline is the best?

Air Travel – I just don’t get it?

I mean don’t get me wrong I love the thought of a vacation and a chance to just chill away from the daily grind. You look forward to maybe catching up with distant friends overseas or visiting a wonder of the world that’s still on that list of places to see before you die. In a flash it hits you that you have to board a plane and fly. That sinking feeling starts and hits your guts like a bad curry.

For those of us that realise that the trip will be in the section of the plane I always refer to as cattle class the fear starts to mount days out from actually even getting to the airport. What a warm cosy feeling it must be to know, that you will be flying business class or the stuff of dreams for most “First Class”. As much as I feel flying is overrated and wish it could be over in the time of a quick meal and a movie, at least if you get to stay at the front of the jet you can maybe start your holiday once seated.

Dubai Travels

As I sit here in Starbucks, yes can u believe I found one? ROFL, I look out over the ever growing city of Dubai and wonder as always what is this place and what will it become in the next few decades?

The air is constantly filled with dust and no matter which way you look its cranes everywhere. It’s like a scene from some science fiction movie like transformers a top every new building going up here. You get the feeling looking at the buildings that the next one is trying to out do the next one, bigger, taller and maybe with a little extra design touch.
